The articles of association

Chapter 1：General

Article 1：(Name)

The name of this organization is "Non Profit Organization Yamada International Relations Association".
"Non Profit Organization Yamada International Relations Association" may hereinafter be referred to as "this organization" in this document.

Article 2：(Address of main office)

The address of the main office of this organization is 4-5, Kourakucho, YamadaTown, Shimohei, Iwate.

Chapter 2: Purpose and Activities

Article 3 :( Purpose)

The purpose of this organization is to promote international understanding and corporation among people in Yamada Town through activities such as international exchange programs, foreign residents' life support programs and so on, and thereby to contribute to "create unique and international-minded Yamada Town".

Article 4: (Types of activities)

This organization shall be active in the following types of specified nonprofit activities to accomplish the purpose specified in the Article 3.

Activities for promoting social education.
Activities for promoting town development.
Activities for international corporation.

Article 5: (Programs)

This organization shall be active in the following concrete specified nonprofit programs to accomplish the purpose stated in the Article 3.

Programs for foreign residents' life support.
Programs for lecture, seminar and composition competition on international understanding.
Programs for language learning.
Programs for international support.
Programs for international relations.
Programs trusted by municipalities and other organizations on above related programs.
Programs necessary to accomplish the purpose of this corporation, other than those listed above.

Chapter 3: Membership

Article 6: (Membership classification)

This organization consists of the following 2 membership classifications. The "Standard member" of this organization means the "members" in the Law to Promote Specified Nonprofit Activities, which may hereinafter be referred to as "the Law".

Standard member: an individual or an organization that has approved the purpose of this organization and is admitted to the standard membership by this organization.
Support member: an individual or an organization that is admitted to the support membership to support the activities and the programs of this organization.

Article 7: (Admission)

Concerning the admission of the member, especially condition is not decided.
Whoever desires membership in this organization shall make an enrollment application for membership by filling a certain form otherwise specified by the President of this organization and submitting it to the President. Unless there is a legitimate reason not to do so, the President must admit the application for membership.
If the President of this organization does not approve the enrollment application submitted by the applicant in the preceding item of this article, this organization must quickly notify the applicant in writing of the fact that the enrollment admission will not be given and of the reasons for the refusal of enrollment.

Article 8: (Admission Fee and Membership Fee)

Any member shall pay the admission fee and membership fee otherwise specified in a General Meeting.

Article 9: (Disqualification)

Any member shall be disqualified from membership of this organization, in case it falls under any of the following cases;

Withdrawal from this organization.
Death of the member or liquidation and bankruptcy of this organization.
Overdue payment of the annual membership fee by more than 2 years.
Expulsion from membership of this organization.

Article10 :　（Withdrawal)

Any member can withdraw from this organization arbitrarily by filling a certain form otherwise specified by the President of this organization and submitting it to the President.

Article11: (Expulsion)

Any member may be expelled from this organization by the resolution of the General Meeting, in case it falls under any of the following cases;

1 A breach of these articles of incorporation and other persistent rules
2 action that damages this organization's reputation or is significantly counter to the purpose of this organization

In case of the expulsion under the provision of immediately preceding paragraph, the member in question shall be given a chance to explain itself for its circumstances at the General Meeting before being adopted a resolution of its expulsion.

Article12: (Non refunding of the fees and dues)

In case of the disqualification, the admission fee, membership fee, other money and/or goods, if any, which have already paid or contributed by the disqualified member shall not be refunded.
